Minimal is better

This is a study on the feasibility of a Boffi kitchen in a narrow dutch house, where the original position of the kitchen has been altered in order to provide a more secluded area for the living room. 

Attaching the kitchen on the walls is not the only way to proceed with the design. Kitchenology by Boffi, which I had the chance to look at while visiting the showroom in Amstedam by Studio Dis, provides an elegant solution. 

The juxtaposition of blocks of different heights, treated with different materials create a pleasant dynamic. In this configuration, the islands are closer to the wall closet with fridge, oven and storage under the stairs.

The dining table is now located in the bow window where is better exposed to natural lighting.
